class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">TandDyreklinikken Level of Excellence in Veterinary Oral Surgery (TDK-LEVOS)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-22383db elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"22383db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>This programme is for veterinary dentists with a wish to improve their skills in advanced dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. It is furthermore a skill-programme for veterinary surgeons, in procedures involving jaws and teeth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The programme is developed as a graduate studies of the <a href=\"https:\/\/tdk-educationcenter.dk\/en\/level-of-excellence-in-veterinary-dentistry-tdk-levd\/\">TandDyreklinikken Level of Excellence in Veterinary Dentistry (LEVD).<\/a> The programme combines didactic teaching of basic theory, tutorials and practical training sessions and has a maximum number of eight participants per class. This provides participants with a more intensive learning environment, and the practical sessions are well equipped, which reduces waiting time for both help from tutor and equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Course Master is Jens Ruhnau (DVM, Specialdyrl\u00e6ge i veterin\u00e6r odontologi, EBVS European Veterinary Specialist in Dentistry, Dipl.EVDC). Other co-teachers may be invited for selected topics \u2013 if this is the case, it will always be at Diplomate specialist level.<\/p>\n<p>The programme consists of three modules and an exam, 10 days in total. The teaching modules are supported by two assignments to be produced by the participants between the modules. A certain number of hours for \u201chomework and studying\u201d is expected from participants.<\/p>\n<p>Obligatory tutorials must all be approved, before participants can sit for and pass the tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h4>Exam: June 15th 2022<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The two obligatory assignments are necessary to fulfill the exam credentials and must be submitted within a given deadline and approved by the course master.<\/p>\n<p><strong>List of assignments:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After module 1: write a treatment strategy paper for handling malocclusions. 500-1000 words, a minimum of 5 references.<\/li>\n<li>After module 2: treatment strategy paper for handling patients with oral tumors. 500-1000 words, a minimum of 5 references.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If participants fail to attend a module, a replacement assignment must be written, according to the course master\u2019s instructions, to fulfill the credentials to sit for the exam.<\/p>\n<p>If the participant has missed a module, credentials may be approved to sit for the exam if the replacement assignments are approved by the course master. If a participant misses more than one module, he\/she will not be able to sit for the exam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The exam format:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Exam is a one-day event, divided into a theoretical part in the morning and a practical part in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The theoretical part is a 20-question multiple choice questionnaire that must be finished in one hour.<\/p>\n<p>The practical part is a 5-hour examination, where the candidate is asked to perform a number of procedures on cadaver heads.<\/p>\n<p>For the practical part of the exam, each candidate is equipped with a dental unit with low and highspeed motors, 3-function syringe and ultrasonic scaler. All candidates must bring their own hand instruments, filling materials, loupes etc. for performing any procedure learned during the course.<\/p>\n<p>Dental x-ray units are available for candidates to share.<\/p>\n<p>Passing grade is 50% for both the theoretical and the practical part of the exam. Both parts must be passed separately in order for the exam to pass.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no re-examination for candidates who miss their exam, but they will be given the opportunity to sit for the exam at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates that pass the exam will receive a diploma from TandDyreklinikken stating that they have successfully passed the exam to gain our Level of Excellence in Veterinary Oral Surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Participants who follow the modules, but do not pass the exam, will receive certificates for their participation in each module. Candidates that fail their exam can purchase a seat for the next TDK-LEVOS exam to be held to have one more
