Surgical extractions in dogs can be difficult and time-consuming. Many vets have found themselves under considerable stress during (multiple) surgical extractions. Anchylosed teeth, fractured roots or teeth that for no obvious reason are very difficult to extract.
This course aims at preparing vets for these challenging situations and provide them with, the tools and surgical expertise to meet and overcome these challenges.
This is a two day-course in advanced surgical extractions in dogs. After a theoretical introduction, most of the course time will be spent in the wet-lab facilities.
Course content focuses on training procedures for surgical extraction of difficult teeth and on handling complications. Furthermore, we will look at approaches to the extraction of canines, carnassials, flap design, and we will of course send you home with some, helpful tips and tricks.
